Lev Pitaevskii
Lev Petrovich Pitaevskii (Russian: Лев Петро́вич Пита́евский [ˈlʲef pʲɪˈtrovʲɪtɕ pʲɪˈtajɪfskʲɪj]; 18 January 1933 – 23 August 2022) was a Russian theoretical physicist. He was known for his works in the theory of quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, low-temperature physics, plasma physics, and condensed matter physics. He was also the co-author of a few volumes of Course of Theoretical Physics series.
