Linda Lavin
Linda Lavin (October 15, 1937 – December 29, 2024) was an American actress and singer. She was known for playing the main character in the sitcom Alice and for her stage roles both on Broadway and Off-Broadway.

She had her first Tony Award nomination in Last of the Red Hot Lovers in 1970. In 1987, she won a Tony Award for her role in Broadway Bound.[1] Lavin won two Golden Globe Awards in 1978 and 1979.
Lavin died from cardiopulmonary arrest caused by lung cancer on December 29, 2024 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 87.[2][3]
