Prime Minister of Peru
The President of the Council of Ministers of Peru, informally called "Premier" (form of address) or "Prime Minister", is in charge of the Council of Ministers, and is appointed by the President, but must be approved by the Congress as with all members of the Council.

The Prime Minister of Peru is, however, not the head of government, since in Peru the President is the one who serves as the head of government. Peru is one of the few countries in Latin America that has a Prime Minister.
The current prime minister is Gustavo Adrianzén. He was appointed March 6th, 2024.

Juan Manuel del Mar (1805-1862), doctor y político peruano. Fue Vicepresidente Constitucional de la República durante el segundo gobierno del mariscal Ramón Castilla. Se encargó del Poder Ejecutivo entre el 29 de septiembre de 1859 y 1860, durante la guerra con Ecuador y mientras el Presidente del Perú comandaba la Fuerza Armada.
Manuel Costas Arce (1820 – 1883) político peruano. Fue Ministro de Gobierno y Presidente del Consejo de Ministros de agosto a octubre de 1864, durante la crisis con España. Miembro del Partido Civil, acompañó al presidente Manuel Pardo como primer vicepresidente de la República y en tal calidad ejerció la presidencia interina del Perú de noviembre de 1874 a enero de 1875,
