Martin Böttcher
Martin Böttcher (17 June 1927 – 19 April 2019) was a German composer, arranger and conductor. He is best known for composing the scores for the 1960s movies based on the Karl May books. His music is said to have helped inspire the Italian movie industry to make their own Westerns. This created a new genre, Spaghetti Westerns.[1] In his career, he worked on more than 50 movies and 300 television shows.
Böttcher was born in Berlin. He died on 19 April 2019, at the age of 91.[1][2]
