Media center
A media center is a kind of computer software that can play more than one type of media (multimedia) like media players, but are focused on larger screens like televisions.
They can play digital audio, videos, pictures, and can have a library that helps you organize them. The look and feel of media centers are large to make it easier to view the software from a distance like a living room couch. They may run on many computer operating systems, like Microsoft Windows or Linux.[2]
The first media centers came from 2002. Kodi from 2002 was made for the original Xbox, but is now on many operating systems like Microsoft Windows, and Linux.[1] MythTV from 2002 can record and play television broadcasts and play digital audio, videos, and pictures.[3][4] Windows Media Center is a media center by Microsoft for Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.[5][6]
