Michel Gauthier
Michel Gauthier (French pronunciation: [miʃɛl ɡotje]; (February 18, 1950 – May 30, 2020) was a Canadian politician. He was leader of the Bloc Québécois from 1996 to 1997. He was Leader of the Opposition in the Parliament of Canada during the same time. He was a member of parliament from 1994 to 2007.
Gauthier was born in Quebec City. He was also a member of the Conservative Party.[1] Gauthier died on May 30, 2020 in Quebec City of lung cancer, aged 70.[2]
