Michele Ferrero
Michele Ferrero (Italian pronunciation: [miˈkɛːle ferˈrɛːro]) (26 April 1925 – 14 February 2015) was an Italian businessman.
He was born in Dogliani, Piedmont, the son of Pietro Ferrero. He had two sons: Pietro Ferrero Jr. and Giovanni Ferrero.
He was the owner of the chocolate maker Ferrero SpA, one of Europe's largest with estimated 2012 sales of $19 billion. This made Ferrero the richest man in Italy and one of the richest in Europe. He ran it for 66 years, with some products he launched being Nutella, Kinder treats, Tic Tacs, and Ferrero-Rocher chocolate candies. [1]He also got a reputation as the real-life Willy Wonka, because he made as much effort as he could to keep his process secret. [1]Ironically, he died on Valentine's Day 2015 (being 89 years old at the time).[1]
