Michelle Lujan Grisham

Michelle Lynn Lujan Grisham (/ˈlhɑːn ˈɡrɪʃəm/; born October 24, 1959) is an American lawyer and politician. She is a member of the Democratic Party.[1] Lujan Grisham is the 32nd and current Governor of New Mexico since January 1, 2019.

She was the U.S. Representative for New Mexico's 1st congressional district from 2013 to 2018.

Lujan Grisham has announced her candidacy for Governor of New Mexico in the 2018 election. She won the Democratic nomination on June 5, 2018. She defeated Republican Steve Pearce in the general election.

Her uncle is former Republican Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and former U.S. Representative Manuel Lujan, Jr..
