Midden-Groningen

Midden-Groningen, Low Saxon: Midden-Grunnen, is a municipality of the Province of Groningen, the Netherlands. It lies in the middle of Groningen.

The municipality was established on January 1, 2018. It was made by combining the former municipalities of Hoogezand-Sappemeer, Menterwolde, and Slochteren.

About 61,000 people live in Midden-Groningen. It covers an area of about 314 square kilometres (121 square miles).

The main settlement is Hoogezand.
