Millie Dunn Veasey

Millie Dunn Veasey (January 31, 1918 – March 9, 2018)[1] was an American veteran. She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. She served from 1942-45 in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) and the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC).[2] She was active in the civil rights movement with the Raleigh-Wake Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), where she became president in 1965.[3]
Veasey died on March 9, 2018 in Raleigh at the age of 100.[4]
