National Council (Austria)

The National Council (German: [Nationalrat] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is one of the two houses of the Austrian Parliament. It is known as the lower house. The constitution gives the National Council with more power than the Federal Council.[1] The 183 members of the National Council are elected by nationwide popular vote for a term of five years.
