Night of Champions was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) show made by WWE. It took place on September 16, 2012 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. It was the fifth Night of Champions event held by WWE.

The main event was a match between WWE Champion CM Punk and John Cena. The end of match saw Cena place Punk on the top rope and hit a bridging German suplex for the pin. The referee declared that both men had their shoulders on the mat for three seconds and ended the match in a draw.
