Pátrick Treacy is an Irish physician and an author.[1][2] Treacy was born in 1960 in Garrison, Northern Ireland.[3] He is the founder of Ailesbury Clinic.[4] Treacy studied medicine at Queen’s University Belfast and later at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. In 1990, he worked at Ibn al-Bitar Hospital in Baghdad and was briefly detained in Iraq while reporting on the Halabja gas attacks.[5][6]

Treacy began practicing medicine in Dublin in the late 1980s. He later opened a second clinic in Cork in 2005. In 2006, Treacy treated Michael Jackson during the singer’s stay in Ireland.[7][8] He later stated that Jackson showed interest in global health-related charity work. Treacy has also published several books.[9][10]
