Pechora River
The Pechora is a river in northern Russia. It is over 1,800 kilometres (1,100 mi) long, and navigable for most of its length. Most of the time, an ice sheet covers it. Most of it is inside Komi Republic. It is its most important river. A part of it is in Nenets autonomous okrug.The Pechora is the sixth-longest river in Europe. By discharge, it is third, after the Volga and the Danube. Bigger cities on the river are Pechora and Naryan-Mar. Naryan-Mar is about 50 kilometres (31 mi) from the estuary of the river. The part of the Barents Sea the river flows into is known as Pechora Sea.
