Margaret Ellen "Peggy" Noonan (born September 7, 1950) is an American author of seven books. Her books are mostly about politics, religion, and culture. She is a weekly columnist for The Wall Street Journal. She was a primary speech writer and Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan.

In her political writings, Noonan writes about the politician she likes. They include Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Abraham Lincoln, and Edmund Burke.
