Per Wästberg
Per Erik Wästberg (born 20 November 1933) is a Swedish writer. He became a member of the Swedish Academy in 1997. Wästberg was born in Stockholm. He was editor-in-chief of Sweden's largest daily newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, from 1976 to 1982.[1]
He was President of International PEN from 1979 until 1986 and member of the Nobel Prize for Literature committee. He was the founder of the Swedish section of Amnesty International (1963).
