Plummer is a city in Idaho in the United States.
Geography
Plummer is located at 47°20′0″N 116°53′4″W / 47.33333°N 116.88444°WCoordinates: 47°20′0″N 116°53′4″W / 47.33333°N 116.88444°W (47.333423, -116.884393).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the area of the city is 1.3 square miles (3.3 km2).[1]
Demographics
During the census of 2020, there were 1,015 people in the city. These people lived in 368 households. The population density was 804.3 people per square mile (310.5/km²). There were 398 housing units. Of the people, 44.1% were White, 43.0% Native American, 2.7% from other races, and 10.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.9% of the population.
Of the 368 households, 35.3% had children under 18 living with them. 38.0% were married couples living together. 31.0% had a female resident with no husband or partner present, and 22.0% had a male resident with no wife or partner present. 24.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.2% had someone living alone who was over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.76.
27.3% people in the city were under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 22.6% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 16.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37.4 years. For every 100 females there were 91.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.7 males.[2]
In 2021, the median income for a household in the city was $47,361, and the median income for a family was $52,875.[3] The per capita income for the city was $20,787.[4] About 12.6% of families[5] and 17.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 26.6% of those under age 18 and 12.1% of those age 65 or over.[6]
