Progressive Slovakia

Progressive Slovakia (Slovak: Progresívne Slovensko, PS) is a liberal political party in Slovakia. It has been led by Michal Šimečka since 2022 and is a member of the Renew Europe Group in the European Parliament as well as the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party.

The party was founded in 2017 with the aim of establishing a centrist and liberal political movement.[1]

In the 2023 parliamentary election, PS came second with 18% of the vote and entered the National Council for the first time with 32 seats. It is currently the largest opposition party in Slovakia.[2]
