R. D. Burman
R.D. Burman (Rahul Dev Burman) was a famous Indian music composer. He was born on June 27, 1939, in Calcutta (now Kolkata), India. He is often called "Pancham Da" by his fans. He is known for his work in Bollywood music and is one of the most celebrated composers in Indian cinema.
R.D. Burman was the son of the well-known composer Sachin Dev Burman. He started his career as an assistant to his father and later became a music director on his own. He worked on many popular songs and movies, creating music that was new and fresh for its time.
Some of his famous movies include Sholay, Amar Akbar Anthony, Khatta, Pyaar Ka Mausam, and Hare Rama Hare Krishna. His songs became very popular for their catchy tunes and modern sound, blending traditional Indian music with Western styles.
