Robert Young (actor)
Robert George Young (February 22, 1907 – July 21, 1998) was an American actor. He was best known for his leading roles as Jim Anderson, the father character in Father Knows Best (NBC and then CBS), and the physician Marcus Welby in Marcus Welby, M.D. (ABC).

Young has won three Emmy Awards (1957, 1958, 1970), a Golden Globe Award (1972) and a BAFTA Award (1979).
Young died of respiratory failure at his Westlake Village, California home on July 21, 1998 at the age of 91.[1]
