Roehampton is a small town in Southwest London. Historically Roehampton was a wealthy district. Some of the great mansions of the 1700s are now used by colleges of the University of Roehampton. The university was founded in 2004. In 2007 the National Tennis Centre was set up in Roehampton. It has 22 courts and is a training facility for some of Britain's top tennis players. It also hosts the qualifying rounds for the Wimbledon championships. The Priory Hospital at Roehampton is a mental health hospital. It is internationally known for the treatment of celebrities with various addictions.
