Ryszard Szurkowski
Ryszard Jan Szurkowski (12 January 1946 – 1 February 2021) was a Polish road bicycle racer. Szurkowski was born in Świebodów, Poland. He won two Olympic silver medals at the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics. He won two gold medals at the UCI Road World Championships in 1973 and 1975.
Szurkowski died on 1 February 2021 at a hospital in Radom, Poland from pneumonia caused by lung cancer, aged 75.[1]
