Sa. Kandasamy

Sa. Kandasamy (23 July 1940[1] – 31 July 2020)[2] was an Indian novelist and filmmaker. He was born in Tamil Nadu. His 1968 novel Chayavanam was listed by the National Book Trust as a masterpiece in modern Indian Literature.

In 1998, Kandasamy was honored with the Sahitya Academy award for his novel Vicharanai Commission.

Kandasamy died on 31 July 2020 from a heart attack, aged 80.[2]
