Selma Engel-Wijnberg
Selma Engel-Wijnberg (born Saartje (Selme) Wijnberg;[1][2] 15 May 1922 – 4 December 2018) was a Dutch Jewish Holocaust survivor. She successfully escaped from Sobibor extermination camp after 3 months of imprisonment and survived the war. Engel-Wijnberg moved to the Netherlands then Israel at the end of the war she later moved to the United States with her family in 1957. She returned to Europe only to testify against the war criminals of Sobibor.[3]

Engel-Wijnberg died in Branford, Connecticut on 4 December 2018 at the age of 96.[4]
