Spider crab
The name spider crab is used to refer to a species of crab in the superfamily Majoidea. See crab spider for spiders of the Thomisidae family.
- The Japanese spider crab (Macrocheira kaempferi), is the largest living species of crab, and is found on the bottom on the Pacific ocean.
- The Portly spider crab (Libinia emarginata), is a species of crab found in the estuarine areas on the east coast of North America.
- Hyas is a genus of spider crabs, and contains the Great spider crab (Hyas araneus) which is found in the Atlantic Ocean, and the North Sea.
