St. Joseph, Louisiana
St. Joseph, often called St. Joe, is the parish seat of Tensas Parish in northeastern Louisiana, United States. It is in the delta of the Mississippi River.[1] The population was 831 at the 2020 census. The town had an African-American majority of 78.5 percent in 2020.[2]

The Tensas Parish Library is housed on the ground floor of this former residence, built c. 1858 by a local merchant and partially restored in 1964. The upstairs contains the Plantation Museum.
