Standard heat of formation
The standard heat of formation is a kind of heat of reaction.[1] It means the heat gotten rid of or pulled in when 1 mole of a compound is made from elements when its on standard conditions.[1] The sign for standard heat of formation is ΔH°f, where the subscript means formation.[1] The elements make the compound while they are in their stable times. For instance, oxygen would be gas, and iron would be solid during these times.[1]
