Statue of Liberty National Monument
The Statue of Liberty National Monument is a national monument of the United States. It is made up of two islands: Ellis Island and Liberty Island. The Statue of Liberty is included because it is on Liberty Island.
This national monument was created in 1924. At first, it included only the Statue of Liberty.[1] In 1965, Ellis Island was added.[2] In 1966, Liberty Island was added.[3]
