Subfield

If a subset [math]\displaystyle{ S }[/math] has elements from a field [math]\displaystyle{ F }[/math] that satisfies the same field axioms with the same operations, then [math]\displaystyle{ S }[/math] is called a subfield of [math]\displaystyle{ F }[/math].
