Suzanne Collins

Suzanne Collins[2] (born 1963) is a writer from the U.S. state of Connecticut. She is known for writing in the fantasy and science fiction genre.

Collins is married and lives in Connecticut.

In 2008 she wrote the science fiction novel The Hunger Games. This was the first part of a trilogy which includes Catching Fire (2009) and Mockingjay (2010). It is a New York Times best seller and was named in Publishers Weekly's "Best Books of the Year" in 2008. Lionsgate Entertainment made a movie of the book and it has received positive reviews from Stephen King and Stephenie Meyer.[3]
