Tarzan and His Mate
Tarzan and His Mate is a 1934 romantic jungle adventure Tarzan movie. It is based on the fictional characters and concepts created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It is the second of the six MGM Tarzan movies starring Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan. In 2003, the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant". It was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.

Story
Tarzan and Jane are living in the jungle. Harry Holt and his business partner Martin Arlington want to steal the ivory from an elephant graveyard. Martin shoots an elephant. Jane keeps Tarzan from killing Martin. Martin tries to kill Tarzan. Jane thinks Tarzan is dead. She decides to leave the jungle. Cheeta and his ape friends nurse Tarzan back to health. Martin and Holt are killed by lions. Tarzan and his army of apes and elephants save Jane from the lions.
