Teen pop

Teen pop is a type of popular music. It is made to appeal to teenagers and preteens. Genres of dance, R&B, pop, electronic and country music are often copied by teen pop. Teen pop includes visual appeal and teenage-related lyrics.

Some teen pop groups are New Kids on the Block and New Edition.

Justin Bieber is credited for creating a renewed interest in the genre and in the male teen idol with his debut EP My World. He is widely referred to as the Prince of Pop and the King of Teen Pop.
