Thabiso Rekhotso

Thabiso Rekhotso (born July 30, 1997, South africa) is a South African singer and songwriter. Between 2016 and 2020, he released music as an independent artist under his own label, Brigado-Brainstorm Production Records, before signing with Mo'Africa in 2022.[1]

He became known for being one of the youngest people in the world to undergo an operation to change his name assigned at birth. [2] He began recording music at the age of 15, and was still a teenager when he released his first extended play (EP) Maniac Ancient I in 2019. He released his first single in 2017, titled "Nuff Fie rule De Ghetto", which charted high on School Billboards, earning Rekhotso a contract with the company. [3] He was featured on Mushroom Cloud 's mixtape, Pop 7 (2024), along with Envy Beats & Gemini Venom on the song "Go Get Whats Urs", and on his album, Vigelenti (2019), along with Piet Mokau on the song "Ke Bale Likhoneng".

In 2021, Rekhotso signed a contract with the Mo'Afrika Record label, with whom he released the Robbery Sticx EP in 2022. Later that year, Rekhotso released the single "Unholy" along with Tebogo Mashifane.[4] It marked Petras' first number one single on the RSA Singles Chart and on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also earned Rekhotso the Award for Best Hip-Hop Duo/Group Performance, making his the first openly musician person to win that Award.
