Thomas Hardiman
Thomas Michael Hardiman (born July 8, 1965) is an American Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He was nominated by President George W. Bush. He began active service on April 2, 2007 and serves in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a United States District Judge.

In 2017, Hardiman was a finalist to replaced Antonin Scalia as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, but Neil M. Gorsuch was nominated by President Donald Trump instead.[1] The next year, following Justice Anthony Kennedy announcing his retirement from the Supreme Court, Hardiman was once again considered a front-runner to fill the vacant seat.[2]
