Top Gun: Maverick
Top Gun: Maverick is a 2022 action drama movie directed by Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuire and story by Peter Craig and Justin Marks. The movie stars Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connely, John Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer. It is a sequel to Top Gun (1986) with Cruise and Kilmer reprising their roles for the movie.

The movie was initially scheduled to be released on July 12, 2019. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the movie's complex action sequences, Top Gun: Maverick was delayed several times. The movie eventually premiered at Cinemacon on April 28, 2022 and was released in theaters by Paramount Pictures on May 27.
The movie received positive reviews from critics, with many deeming that the movie was better than its predecessor.
At the 95th Academy Awards, it was nominated for six awards, including Best Picture.
Plot
Captain Pete Mitchell and a team of pilots carry out a mission to destroy an unsanctioned nuclear facility in another country.
