University of the Punjab is a public university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established in 1882 and is the oldest university in Pakistan.[1] The university is spread over an area of 3,000 acres (12 km2). It is affiliated with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the Pakistan Engineering Council.[2]
Campus
It has two campuses in Lahore, the Allama Iqbal campus (the old campus) and the Quaid-e-Azam campus (the new campus). There is also a campus in Gujranwala, Jhelum, Khanaspur and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[3]
