Viola is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 115 people lived there.[3]

History
Viola had its start when the Englewood branch of the Santa Fe railroad was extended to that point.[4]
The first post office at Viola was created in 1877, but the post office was called Peotone until 1899.[5]
Geography
Viola is at 37°29′1″N 97°38′42″W / 37.48361°N 97.64500°W (37.483526, -97.644918).[6] It is southwest of Wichita on Highway 42 at the intersection of Highway 49. The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.16 square miles (0.41 km2). All of it is land.[2]

2020 census
The 2020 census says that there were 115 people, 54 households, and 41 families living in Viola. Of the households, 87.0% owned their home and 13.0% rented their home.
The median age was 41.3 years. Of the people, 87.8% were White, 3.5% were Native American, 0.9% were Pacific Islanders, 0.9% were Asian, 1.7% were from some other race, and 5.2% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.3% of the people.[3][7]

The 2010 census says that there were 130 people, 51 households, and 37 families living in Viola.[8]
