Vishal Tulsian

Vishal Tulsian (born in 1972 in Kolkata, India) is an Indian intrapreneur, banker, keynote speaker and author, currently residing in Indonesia. He is the founder and CEO of Tunaiku, an Indonesian fintech company, and currently serves as the CEO and President Director of PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk.

Early life and education

Vishal was grew up in Kolkata, India. He completed his Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary qualifications in India before going on to complete an MBA from the University of Liverpool and University of Calcutta in 1995. Vishal began his career as an intrapreneur with Tolaram Group in Estonia where he served as CEO of Horizon Tissue, a tissue paper manufacturing company. He is also the author of a book titled "Celebrate Teen Years".[1][2][3]

Career

In 2014, Vishal founded Tunaiku[4], a fintech company that provides online lending services in Indonesia.[5][6][7] He served as CEO of Tunaiku until the company was acquired by PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk, where he currently serves as CEO and President Director.[8][9][10] Subsequently, he led the efforts to list the company on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.[11][12][13] Throughout his career, Vishal has won several industry awards in Indonesia.[14][15][16] Vishal has been involved in a number of social projects, such as helping Habitat for Humanity build houses. He is also an advisor at India’s FinTech and EdTech focused venture capital fund, Blinc Invest.[17][18][19]
