Yüksekova (Kurdish: Gewer[3]) is a city and a district of Hakkari Province of southeastern Turkey. It is on the border with Iran and Iraq. In February of 2020 it was buried under 6 meters of snow. The city and district is populated entirely by Kurds.[4][5][6]
