She was born and raised in Papendrecht, South Holland. She was married to Palestinian real-estate developer Mohamed Hadid from 1994 until they divorced in 2000. They had two daughters, models Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid and a son, Anwar. She married Canadian musician David Foster in 2011. They divorced in 2017.
She was one of the leading personalities on the reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has modelled in places such as Paris, Tokyo and Sydney for Eileen Ford.[2]
