Zarina (artist)
Zarina Hashmi (16 July 1937 – 25 April 2020), known professionally as Zarina, was an Indian-American artist and printmaker. She worked in New York City. Her work focused in drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. Her works were involved with the Minimalist movement.[1] She was born in Aligarh, United Provinces, British Raj.[2][3] Zarina was a board member of the New York Feminist Art Institute.
Zarina died in London from problems of Alzheimer's disease on 25 April 2020, aged 83.[2][4][5]
