Zero function
The zero function is the function that always gives an output of zero. While one of the simplest possible functions, it is an important pathological object: it is the only function which is both an even function and an odd function, the only linear function with more than one root, and the only finite polynomial without finite degree. The zero function is also a common trivial solution to many problems, especially in differential equations.
