Žatec

Žatec (German: Saaz) is a town in Louny District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. About 19,000 people live there. It is on the Ohře river. In 1265, it got the privileges of a royal town from King Ottokar II. In 2023, Žatec and the Landscape of Saaz Hops were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
