2021 Kandahar bombing
On 15 October 2021, a suicide bombing happened at the Imam Bargah mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan.[1] The mosque is a Shia mosque. The attack happened during Friday prayers. It killed at least 65 people and injured more than 70 others.[2][3] The Islamic State – Khorasan Province claimed responsibility for the attack.[4]
It came a week after another bombing claimed by the Islamic State.[5][6]
