2021 Meron crowd crush
On 30 April 2021, at about 00:50 IDT, a deadly crowd crush happened in Meron, Israel, during a religious event on Mount Meron on the Jewish holiday of Lag BaOmer. About 100,000 people were in attendance. Forty-five people were killed, and more than 150 injured. It is the deadliest civil disaster in the history of Israel.[1][2][3]
