Adam Svoboda

Adam Svoboda (26 January 1978 – 7 May 2019) was a Czech ice hockey player and coach. He played as a goaltender. Outside of the Czech Republic, Svoboda played in Russia, Sweden, Germany and Kazakhstan. He played for many teams including HC Sparta Praha, HC Pardubice, HC Lada Togliatti, Timrå IK, HC Slavia Praha, Nürnberg Ice Tigers. He also played for the Czech Republic national team. He won a winner's medal after his country's Ice Hockey World Championship win in 2005. He was born in Brno.

Svoboda died in a suicide by hanging on 7 May 2019 in Pardubice. He was 41.[1]
