Aggtelek got a minor road heading between Szin and Sajókaza. The village also got a small road that connects Slovakia with it.
History
The village was already exist before the Hungarian conquest. The cave was known even that time, Csokonay and Petőfi was in it. In 1858, a fire destroyed the entire village; only the school and one residential buildings remained. In the World War II, the soviet troops ruined Aggtelek. When new mines opened near Kazincbarcika, Aggtelek got several commercial chances. In 1995, the Baradla caves become part of the UNESCO Heritage Sites.
