Ahmed Patel
Ahmedbhai Mohammedbhai Patel, better known as Ahmed Patel (21 August 1949 – 25 November 2020) was an Indian politician. He was a Member of Parliament for the Indian National Congress from 1977 to 1989 and from 1993 until his death.[2] He was the political secretary to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.[3][4]

Patel was born in Bharuch, present-day Gujarat. He studied at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. Patel died at a hospital in Gurugram, Haryana from multiple organ failure caused by COVID-19 on 25 November 2020, aged 71.[5]
