Albert is a city in Barton County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 132 people lived there.[3]

History

Albert was created in the early 1880s.[4] It was named after Albert Kraisinger, a store owner.[5] Albert was a station on the Great Bend and Scott part of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.[6]

Geography

Albert is at 38°27′14″N 99°0′40″W / 38.45389°N 99.01111°W / 38.45389; -99.01111 (38.453959, -99.011129). The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.24 square miles (0.62 km2). All of it is land.[2]

2020 census

The 2020 census says that there were 132 people, 64 households, and 42 families living in Albert. Of the households, 98.4% owned their home and 1.6% rented their home. Children under age 18 lived in 20.3% of the households.

The median age was 54.5. Of the people, 93.9% were White, 0.8% were Native American, and 5.3% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.3% of the people.[3][7]

The 2010 census says that there were 175 people, 77 households, and 58 families living in Albert.[8] ±
