Anson, Texas
Anson is a city in the US state of Texas. It is the county seat of Jones County. About 2,294 people lived there in 2020.[2] Before 1882, the name was Jones City. In 1882, Anson was named for Anson Jones, the fifth President of the Republic of Texas.
